This weekend, me and fellow MTV-er Neha braved the rain storm for our first taste of the All Points West music festival in New Jersey's Liberty State Park.

Day 1's ferry ride started all nice and sunny, but as soon as we got off, the clouds moved in and torrential rain entered (and lasted hardcore for the next 4 HOURS).
As the ever dedicated music lovers that we are, we didn't let the rain stop us from enjoying great sets from Fleet Foxes, Ra Ra Riot, The National, Vampire Weekend, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Jay-Z.
A festival first for us- the wristbands for alcohol actually had numbers on them so every time you bought a drink, they would take a numbered tab off. Don't know how I feel about that.

We arrived just in time for Fleet Foxes' extra long set of sweet tunes.

Vampire Weekend, at the height of the storm, still brought out a huge crowd and got everyone bopping from song 1 on.

The highlight for me was seeing my girl Karen O hit the stage with her trademark charming/kick-ass 'tude. Love when she does her lean back and spit move. The Yeah Yeah Yeahs mainly played songs off their new album "It's Blitz!" but they did not leave out fan-favourite "Maps" which Karen O dedicated to Adam Yauch's recovery.

The rain continued to stay away for Jay-Z's set (thankfully, because at this point, every thing on me was still drenched and just beginning to dry). The crowd was massive for Jay-Z, who entered the stage by covering the Beastie's "No Sleep 'Til Brooklyn" in Adam's honor.

The festival Gods gave us a break by letting us sing out the evening, dry and happy.
