A great part about Kyoto is that there are endless daytrip options -- since this was our first time in Kyoto, we hit Inari (home of the famous Fushimi Inari), Uji (home of matcha), and Nara (home of the world's largest bronze statue of the Buddha... and the adorable deer park).
